King is exiled to Marahuyo after a conflict with the college dean. Reuniting with his mother and grandmother, he attends Mariano Soliman University (MarSU) where he befriends Venice, a transgender student. Witnessing Venice's struggles, he starts an LGBTQ+ student organization at MarSU.
