Rex invites Sammy over, making Quentin jealous and Daniel realize that Quentin and Rex slept together, ending with Rex having a panic attack as Quentin prepares to move out. Annika makes dinner plans that throw Mark and Elliott together, but when the competition between them results in Elliott injuring his back, Annika's roommate Mindy swiches laptop computers to reveal to Elliott that he and Mark are Annika's research subjects. When Laura becomes a slacker after losing the election, Clyde tries to make her feel better.
